How it works

Up and running in five minutes

One parent sets things up once. Everyone else just opens the link.

    Create an account

    Sign up with your email and a password. That's it — no app to install.

    Name your family

    Create your family space. You become its parent and can change every setting.

    Bring everyone in

    Invite your partner or older kids by email. Add younger children by name — they don't need a login.

    Optional: link the family Telegram group, your Google Calendar and Yandex Alice. Details below.

All three are optional — switch on what your family actually uses. A parent connects each one once, from the Family tab.

Telegram

Your family group chat, with superpowers

Add the bot to the group you already have. Everyone can check the list, add items and see today's plans without opening the app — and the group gets a message whenever something changes.

  • Menu buttons for Shopping, Tasks, Calendar, Budget and Meals
  • Quick commands: /add milk, /today, /week, /tasks
  • Notifications: “🛒 Milk added to Weekly groceries”
  1. Add @simple_family_assistant_bot to your family's Telegram group (group menu → Add members → search for the bot).
  2. Send /start in the group. The bot replies with a personal link — it works for 15 minutes.
  3. Open the link and log in as a parent. The group is linked to your family automatically.
  4. Done. Tap a menu button or type a command. Members don't need a web account to use the bot.

Google Calendar

One calendar, on every phone

Keep using the Google Calendar you already have. Family Assistant reads and writes one shared calendar, so plans added anywhere show up everywhere.

  • Events from your shared calendar appear in the app and in Telegram (/today, /week)
  • Events added in the app or the bot land in Google Calendar on everyone's phone
  • Times shown in your family's time zone
  1. Open Family → Calendar setup and tap Connect Google Account.
  2. Sign in with Google and allow access to your calendars.
  3. Choose the calendar the family shares — for example one called “Family”.
  4. Set your time zone in the same tab so times are right in Telegram too.

Tip: create a separate “Family” calendar in Google and share it with your partner — then your work calendar stays private.

Yandex Alice

Out of milk? Just say it.

Hands full in the kitchen? Ask Alice on your smart speaker or phone to add things to the shopping list — they appear in the app instantly.

  • Adds items to your latest shopping list — several at once
  • Reads back what's still on the list
  • Works on Yandex Station and in the Yandex app
  1. Open Family → Yandex Alice and tap Get code. You get 6 digits, valid for 10 minutes.
  2. Say: «Алиса, попроси Семейный помощник привязать код 123456» — with your digits.
  3. Alice confirms the account is connected. That's all — no app login on the speaker.

The speaker must be signed in to a Yandex account. Each Yandex account is linked once; you can unlink it from the Family tab any time.

Made for families

Simple for kids, in control for parents

See and edit everything. Invite members, add children, set pocket money, connect Telegram, Google Calendar and Alice.

Kids

Shopping, tasks, calendar and meals — plus their own pocket-money balance. Young children can be added without an email.

Just your family

Each family has its own private space. Only the people you invite can see your lists, plans and balances.

Good to know

Do we need to install anything?

No. Family Assistant runs in the browser on phones and computers. Telegram and Alice are optional extras.

My child doesn't have an email. Can they take part?

Yes. A parent adds them by name in the Family tab. They can be assigned chores and get pocket money; older kids can be invited by email to use the app themselves.

Do we have to use Telegram, Google Calendar or Alice?

No. Everything works in the web app on its own. Connect only the services your family already uses.

Someone sent me an invitation. What now?

Open the link from the email and sign up or log in with the same email address — you'll join the family automatically.

Calendar setup

Connect a shared Google Calendar for the family.

Choose a calendar

Time zone

Set the family's time zone so Telegram shows event times correctly.

Telegram bot

Link a Telegram group to receive notifications and use bot commands.
Setup:
1. Add your bot to the family group chat.
2. Send /start in the group.
3. The bot replies with your chat ID.
4. Paste the chat ID below and click Link.

Yandex Alice

Add items to your latest shopping list by voice.
Setup:
1. Click Get code below.
2. Say: «Алиса, попроси Семейный помощник привязать код …» and the 6 digits.
3. Then say: «Алиса, попроси Семейный помощник добавить молоко».
